Ben Bartlett
I'm a product designer who uses systems thinking to find levers that underly problems and who excels at synthesizing messy problems by turning them into stories. I also love working on opportunities that have limited resources, and so require creative solutions.

I'm currently studying in the MFA Products of Design department at the School of Visual Arts in New York. Products of Design is an interdisciplinary program that blends design strategy and leadership with physical making. We use human-centered design to move between the conceptual and the tactile.

Currently, I'm focusing on my thesis which looks for new ways to fortify our cities' public spaces against evolving terrorist threats. As part of my thesis studies I'm considering how the world around screens creates place—the embodiment of space—and how interface or external infrastructure could benefit people's responsiveness in public spaces.
